John has been a Director at Rodgers & Co since 2010 and brings more than two decades of chartered accountancy experience. A qualified member of Chartered Accountants Australia & NZ with a Public Practice Certificate, he thrives on the challenge of assisting clients with problems big or small. He enjoys the technical matters especially tax planning and structuring for succession or long‑term asset protection.

Supported by a wide network of trusted specialists and problem solvers, John connects the right expertise at the right time, turning clear advice into confident action. His approach is pragmatic and relationship‑led: technical rigour translated into practical guidance that keeps businesses moving.  

Although John is still a Scotsman at heart, he’s proud to call New Zealand home after raising a family and living in Christchurch for the last 25 years. When he’s not working with clients, he’s never too far from a golf course or planning his next caravan trip.
