Andrew is a true Southlander at heart, born and raised in the region. In 2008, he made the move to Christchurch and has since established himself as a prominent figure in the accounting industry. Despite his relocation, Andrew’s unwavering support for the Southland and Highlanders rugby teams remains steadfast, and he eagerly follows their progress during the rugby seasons.
As a member of the NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants with a Public Practice Certificate, Andrew brings a wealth of expertise to his role. His specialization lies in Business Systems and Strategic Business Advisory. With a comprehensive skill set, Andrew leverages technology-based accounting solutions and provides practical advisory guidance using financial and non-financial metrics and concepts to help clients achieve their strategic goals, both in business and on a personal level.
Andrew’s influence extends beyond his day-to-day responsibilities, as he chairs advisory boards across various industries. He places particular focus on the Construction, Property Development, Retirement Village, and Food Manufacturing sectors. Through these roles, Andrew offers invaluable insights and strategic direction to businesses, contributing to their growth and success.
Outside the office, Andrew is kept busy with his young family. When he’s not attending to family matters or immersed in his professional pursuits, Andrew enjoys a game of golf or tackling the hills on his mountain bike. He also relishes the opportunity to spend time in Central Otago, a place he holds dear from his younger years.

Tim joined the team in 2023, he offers a range of accounting services tailored to the unique needs of each client.

Tim’s commitment to staying up to date with the latest accounting trends and regulations sets him apart from others in the industry. He utilises the latest accounting software and technology to streamline his clients’ accounting processes, providing real-time financial information and advice.
What really sets Tim apart is his unwavering dedication to his clients’ success. He takes the time to understand their businesses and goals, and then develops a tailored accounting solution to meet their specific needs. When Tim isn’t working with clients, he enjoys the outdoors be it hiking, running, or just getting out on his bike.

Russell, one of the founding directors of our firm, brings an impressive track record of over 30 years in the field, ensuring your accounting requirements are expertly handled. With his extensive experience and broad knowledge of business, Russell is a trusted advisor when it comes to navigating complex financial landscapes.
His areas of expertise encompass a wide range of disciplines, including business and trust structures, taxation, profit building, trans-Tasman business, structures and taxation, as well as asset and retirement planning. With such comprehensive knowledge, there are few surprises that can catch Russell off guard.
Russell’s insights and strategic guidance have proven invaluable to countless clients over the years. His ability to assess and analyse complex financial situations allows him to provide practical and effective solutions tailored to each client’s specific needs. Now as a Consultant Russ continues to exemplify the values and expertise that have defined our firm since its inception. His knowledge, coupled with his unwavering commitment to client satisfaction, make him an invaluable asset for businesses seeking comprehensive financial guidance.

Jenny has a BCom and is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Jenny has extensive experience in the business service sector and provides advice and accounting services mainly to clients in our Aged Care Division and Not-for-Profit entities.
Jenny has daughters who have now completed their education, flown the nest and forging careers for themselves. Jenny is still kept busy with various community groups she is involved in.

Having spent all her working life in the Chartered Accountant environment and as an ACA with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a move to Christchurch in 2015 for her husband’s job seen Pam join our team. Having been born in Oamaru before shifting to Rotorua in her early teens, a shift back to the Mainland was not a hardship.
A keen cyclist and walker, Pam enjoys the beautiful playground that the South Island offers.

With a Bachelor of Commerce degree earned in Australia, Khadijah moved to New Zealand in November 2017 and has spent all her working life in NZ in the Chartered Accountant environment. She joined Rodgers & Co in May 2019, bringing with her over 10 years of accounting experience and her membership to the CPA Australia. She’s worked on a variety of group financials and enjoys that each day brings a new and exciting challenge.
Khadijah fills in her spare time by being a personal chauffeur to her 2 young girls, ferrying them to and from their school activities, and enjoys dreaming on the family’s next holiday destination.

Lisa joined the firm from Hokitika in 2008, bringing with her seven years of tax and accounting experience in a Chartered Accounting environment and a West Coast no holds barred approach to preparing financial statements, tax returns and GST…primarily for our Aged Care Division. She holds the New Zealand Diploma in Business and Accounting, but her biggest achievement in life is the world-renowned award of Motherhood (she says that now as her kids are yet to hit their teens).
As most of you parents can appreciate there’s not much time for anything else, but somehow Lisa also fits in the time to extend her knowledge and passion for the Te Reo Māori culture.

Jean-Marie joined our team in March 2013, primarily to specialise in accounting for Retirement Villages and Aged Care. Jean-Marie has a BCom in Accounting and is a member of CAANZ, with 19 years’ experience in the Chartered Accountancy environment.
Jean-Marie enjoys dancing, shopping and reading but has yet to master the art of doing these simultaneously. She also enjoys playing the piano and in the interests of keeping our team happy, can bring in her electronic piano to lead us all in a sing-along.

Megan joined the Rodgers & Co team in 2015 fresh out of Uni with a BComm majoring in accounting and taxation so we were very fortunate to have secured her talents before anyone else could. With her CA qualifications now in her arsenal, Megan has proven to be an invaluable asset to the team. Her expertise in overseas taxation and forecasting sets her apart, making her our resident Tax Specialist.
When we do let her leave work, she enjoys relaxing at the family bach although as a new homeowner she now rarely has the time.

With a Master of Commerce Degree from India, Harpreet moved to New Zealand in February 2015 and completed her Bachelor of Applied Management (major in accounting) from Ara Institute of Canterbury with the aim of becoming a CA in New Zealand. She worked diligently towards her CA qualification and became an official member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand in 2020.
Harpreet joined Rodgers & Co in August 2015 as a temporary staff member to assist with the RV side. Her exceptional intelligence and keenness quickly became evident, compelling the Directors to extend a full-time position to her. With a strong expertise in Xero, forecasting, as well as preparing financial statements, and tax returns, Harpreet plays a pivotal role at Rodgers & Co.
Harpreet fills in her spare time by enjoying everything our beautiful country has to offer with road trips, mountain biking, and hiking with her husband and young daughter.

Olivia joined the Rodgers & Co team in April 2022 and comes with a background working in both Public Practice and Commercial Accounting roles.
Olivia has a special interest in tackling tax problems, particularly those relating to land transactions.
When she is not solving tax problems, Olivia is keeping up to date the latest developments in tax legislation to better serve her clients.
In her spare time, Olivia enjoys getting outdoors with her two dogs, running, and travelling.

Emilie has a BA with First Class Honours majoring in Accounting and Finance. She joined Rodgers & Co in October 2019 and brings with her a wide range of experience from her time working in the UK. Outside of Rodgers & Co Emilie can be found outdoors walking in either the hills or beach and attending Crusaders Home games. When not in Christchurch slowly trekking round NZ seeing what this country has to offer.

Yvette is an integral member of Rodgers & Co and has been with the company for over 20 years. Yvette is a Senior Accountant with a BCom in Accounting. She works primarily for Russell and John on company, partnership and sole trader accounts, preparing end of year financial statements, tax and GST returns.
Yvette has a multitude of hobbies that she enjoys in her spare time including running, swimming, cross-stitch and watching movies.

After spending time away from the workforce raising a young family, Tracey went back to complete a Bachelor of Applied Management (Accounting) from Ara Institute. In the middle of 2018 Rodgers & Co welcomed her as a new graduate. As Tracey learns from the amazing team at Rodgers & Co, she will also be working towards the CA qualification.
When not at work Tracey enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys marching having been involved for over 25 years, although these days you will find her in a leisure team, that’s when she’s not standing on the sidelines of the netball, rugby, athletics or marching fields cheering on the children.

Cambell completed his Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM) in Accounting at the University of Canterbury in 2018. Following his studies, he embarked on a trip to explore his partner’s homeland of America. In late 2019, Cambell joined the Rodgers & Co team, primarily focussing on the compliance and business advisory area.
A serious back injury in 2020 put him on the shelf, but it didn’t keep him down for long. In his leisure time, he can usually be found on the cricket field or on the golf course, generally trying to find a ball that he has lost. When he’s not at work, he can be found doting over his two cats, Artemis and Luna, whom he adopted as kittens with his partner in 2021.

Proudly born and bred on the West Coast, Jye completed his Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM) in Taxation and Accounting in 2017 at the University of Canterbury. After three years of working in his hometown of Greymouth he decided to make his return to Christchurch, joining the Rodgers and Co team in September of 2020, bringing with him experience in preparing end of year financial statements, tax and GST returns.
Outside of the office Jye is a keen sportsman; playing competitively in basketball and tennis, frequently working on his golf game and playing social netball with his girlfriend.

Jalene is a registered Chartered Accountant and brings over 15 years of experience working in accounting offices, a background that has honed her expertise in financial accounting and client relations. Joining Rodgers & Co in March 2024, Jalene quickly became an integral part of the team, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and a strong work ethic.
Jalene’s extensive experience in the accounting field is complemented by her meticulous attention to detail and her dedication to delivering high-quality results. She is known for her ability to manage complex financial tasks with efficiency and precision, making her a reliable and trusted professional within the firm.
Outside of work, Jalene enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family. She is an avid reader and movie enthusiast, always on the lookout for the next great book or film. Recently, Jalene has been exploring different crafts as she searches for a new hobby, embracing creativity and hands-on projects with enthusiasm.
Jalene’s blend of experience, dedication, and personal interests makes her a valuable member of the Rodgers & Co team, both professionally and personally.

Robbie brings his expertise as a Client Advisor, holding a Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM) degree in Accounting from the Ara Institute of Canterbury. He initially joined our team to gain practical experience during his studies, and we consider ourselves fortunate to have him on board permanently since his graduation in 2022.
Beyond the office, you’ll often find Robbie on the golf course, either competing or enjoying a casual game. His love for sports extends beyond golf, as he is an avid spectator of football, rugby, and cricket.

Shirin brings a diverse background, originating from Germany where she spent her formative years until completing her education. Her travels brought her to Australia and subsequently to New Zealand, eventually settling and building a family in Christchurch. Family is an essential part of her life and the driving force for her personal and professional pursuits.
She has completed a Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM) in Taxation and Accounting in 2019 at the University of Canterbury. After two and half years of working in a Chartered Accounting environment and one year off on maternity leave, Shirin joined the Rodgers & Co Team in June 2023.
When not working, or looking after her active toddler, she enjoys spending time outside. Anything from walks on the beach to uphill hikes.

Richard has been part of the Rodgers & Co team since 2023. A true Cantabrian, he is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Accounting and Finance at Victoria University of Wellington. This means he splits his time between working remotely and in the office across the two islands. Richard is excited about his early exposure to the accounting world and the opportunities it brings.
Outside of work, Richard enjoys playing the piano, golfing, and skiing. He also loves returning to his family farm in Kaikōura, where he spends time with his family and his beloved Chocolate Lab, Norm, who is a “Top Bloke.”

Larissa is our tax administrator and our go-to for all things tax. She has recently completed her Bachelor of Business in Accounting, and joined the Rodgers & Co team in 2022. With the energy and enthusiasm of a caffeinated toddler, and the compassion and dedication to ensure clients are well looked after, we can assure you we are thrilled to have her as part of our team.
With an interest in art and architecture, she has a keen eye for detail. Outside of the office Larissa can be found spending time with friends and family, enjoying outdoor activities Christchurch has to offer, finding quirky new bars and cafes to visit or winding down snuggled up with Netflix.

Chris holds a BCOM degree in Accounting from Northwest University in South Africa and is a qualified Professional Accountant (SA). He developed a strong passion for finding solutions for clients with accounting and tax problems.
In late 2022, Chris, his wife, and their two young children made the move to New Zealand, and he joined Rodgers & Co in November 2024.
Beyond the office, Chris enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and has a keen interest in a wide range of sports, including rugby, cricket, soccer, and golf.

Helen has been an integral part of the Rodgers & Co team since 2003, serving as your first point of contact. With her warm and welcoming demeanour, Helen greets clients with a cheerful smile and ensures the smooth operation of the office. Her dedication to providing exceptional customer service and assisting clients in any way possible makes her an invaluable asset to the team.
In her spare time, Helen loves trying out new recipes and experimenting with flavours. She also loves getting lost in a good book, feeling the sand between her toes, and spending time with the people (and fur babies) she loves.
